Brockable is a movement, an ongoing project promoting the reuse, recycling, and reinvention of preloved items.
This project crafts lamps from found objects, ready-made pieces, and pre-loved items discovered through local brockis (secondhand shops) in Bern. Fisher Barry amassed a diverse collection of objects valued for their inherent qualities rather than their materials, blending spontaneity and deliberate design to reveal inherent connections.
The process involves careful selection of compatible artefacts and the use of 3D printing for structural integrity. These lamps are the result of chance encounters with objects, merging serendipity and design intent, breathing new life into neglected items and celebrating the repurposing of ready-made objects. Emitting a warm, archetypal glow that fosters a sense of connection and mindful curation of environments rooted in locality and ritual.
